Customers who don't sign a contract for natural gas or electricity are served by a Regulated Retailer.
The regulated rates are reviewed and approved by the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC). The following tables show the approved regulated electricity and natural gas rates for residential and small business customers across Alberta.
Electricity
The Rate of Last Resort (RoLR) is the regulated rate for electricity. This was formerly known as the Regulated Rate Option (RRO). The RoLR will be in place until December 31, 2026.
