Beginning in July 2022, Alberta electricity consumers will receive rebates on their utility bills. If you are eligible for a rebate, you will see it as a credit amount of $50 on each of your utility bills containing electricity charges for July, August, September, October, November and December up to a total of $300.
- You do not need to apply for the rebates. They will be applied to your bills automatically.
- The rebate will be listed on your bill as a line item titled “GOA Utility Commodity Rebate.”
- The exact timing of the rebates will vary depending on the billing cycle of your utility provider.
- If your July bill does not contain charges for July, you will see your rebate starting in August. If you are unsure where to see the dates of your charges, please refer to our Understanding Your Bill page.
